It is easy for him to use, hear and see. A week after owning the phone the back cover fell off and he couldn't find it. I called Just5 to purchase a replacement. I got an answering service that takes a message and says Just5 will contact me. Well I have been leaving messages for 3 weeks, and sending emails as well, and nobody has contacted me. One operator told me she had contacted them and they will send out a replacement part. I'm still waiting. I gave the phone a 3-star review because it is what they advertise. CALL QUALITY: The volume on my other phone was too low. This phone is perfect for me when I set the volume level to 6 out of 8. It seems to have a better voice quality, too (higher and lower pitches come across), probably because it has a larger speaker than a flip phone. (A separate volume control lets you set a very loud ringer, too.) No complaints about my voice from the person on the other end. 2. RECEPTION: 4 to 5 bars in my whole house (vs. 1 to 3 bars for my other phone). Bigger antenna, I guess. The display of the number of reception bars is large and easy to read (as is the display of the battery charge, which has lasted five days so far). 3. TEXTING: Easy and intuitive. One was for my elderly mother, the other was for me and it's an easy purchase to recommend. These phones come with a Just5/Jolt Mobile SIM card and the registration was easy. If you create an account on Jolt Mobile's website you can add minutes as you like..$10/100 minutes,$20/200 minutes,$30/300 minutes plan (minutes last for 90 days)or unlimited for $40/monthly. They also offer a $50/500 minutes for 180 days and a $100/1000 minutes plan for 365 days.Purchasers have to show some basic insight when it comes to the customer service that a smaller cell phone/service provider has when comparing it to the `big boys' like AT&T,Verizon and so on.
