This is definitely not a 1-star product.

I just got this yesterday and I wanted to put out some feedback quickly so I can help anybody considering this product.

First, you should know my background. I am on a T-Mobile pay-as-you-go plan because I don't use my mobile phone much. My annual mobile phone bill is between one and two hundred dollars. Everybody that I know has one of the fancy smartphones, but I didn't want to pay a large sum for an unlocked phone. I also didn't want to sign up for an expensive monthly plan with 2-year contract. I was making do with a 7-year old Motorola A630 phone, but was looking for something that will let me have a "fancy" phone without having to spend a lot of money. Oh, I really don't need to browse or check mail on the road (or when I am outside the house).

I was also in the market for a nice MP3 player with a FM tuner built-in. I know that there are many choices for that, but I was holding out for something better... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent phone for a first Android but shop around..., March 26, 2011
This review is from: BLU Tango Unlocked GSM Phone with Android OS 2.2, Wi-Fi, GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with Warranty (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
When my old LG KP500 broke for a second time in the same way I decided it was time for a new phone. I decided to go Android but didnt want to deal with the contract phones and I hated the battery life complaints I heard about most of the current and past smartphones. I mean the KP500 lasted at least 2 and a half days with general use and calls as well as the occasional trip to face book or website. I'd seen a couple of the HTC phones in real life and was shocked at the need to recharge them almost every night because they were so drained by evening that they might run out by bedtime.

Eventually I found the Blu Tango with the longest stated battery life of any Android phone I'd ever seen. I wanted to find out more and found it contained the latest version of the OS 2.2 (Froyo) which I heard would soon support flash! It sounds like a dream come true so I looked into the phones prices and user reviews only to find that it was in my price range ($150-185 Yeah, the price... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Great phone for price but NO USB DRIVER SUPPORT!!!, March 19, 2011
This review is from: BLU Tango Unlocked GSM Phone with Android OS 2.2, Wi-Fi, GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with Warranty (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Recently bought this phone, not the first android i played with but the first one I actually own.

The phone is fast with the 600Mhz processor. the resistive screen may not be as receptive as a capacitive one but it is ok for the price.

Wifi,bluetooth work fine

GPS decent also.

Apps work great and with the app market you can download to your pleasure.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE i have though, is the LACK OF MANUFACTURER SUPPORT in the case of providing USB drivers. In the manual they said that drivers would be available from [...] but that site is crappy as it doesn't even have contact info or driver support pages. Therefore when the device is connected to a PC it is not installed properly even if you use Google USB drivers with android SDK or even other drivers such as PdaNet or EasyTether.

If they eventually provide proper working drivers and provide some kind of contacts on their website maybe I may consider actually... Read more
